A hauntingly beautiful quote from a “Man-Eating Cats”, a short story by H Murukami that i read recently. Murukami’s stories are sad, in the sense that they are real, sometimes with unresolved endings, endings that are definitely not cookie cutter. A lot like life really.
Somehow, sometimes when i feel sad about life & the way it works, reading a story of his seems to make me feel better, even though he tells tales of lovers never being together, dreams not materializing, life being, well, as it is. i guess it brings me comfort to know that sometimes life disappoints and things don’t turn out the way we want & we’re all jaded in this cold, cold world.
Ok, enough w the emospeak already lolz. On a brighter note, review went surprisingly well today, despite me feeling so lost (about DESIGN) the entire week. My tutor challenged my view that only the commonly accepted norms are beautiful, because there’s really a hidden beauty about the curious & the strange all along. Alot like life, really.
& a quote from him to end this entry:
“Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder. It may manifests itself in many different forms, but it is irresistibly clear.”
